To the members of Greater Cincinnati Gay Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors keep up the good work and I am looking forward to this years "Listings." This guide/informational directory has helped countless GLBT members of our community for years and I for one appreciate you volunteerism and dedication to our community.

Having joined the Chamber recently, I'd like to offer my time and energy to participate in whatever capacity may be needed.

I hope that Clifton and Northside will not be forsaken for the 2010 Gay Pride, the residents and businesses of those communities have supported LGBT Cincinnatians for many years.

I am very happy to see that it is growing, but am disappointed that we will now be competing with other events aimed at the Independence day celebrations. I hope next year we will be able to have our own "independent" weekend. This of course is a huge conflict for Northsiders, as you know a large glbt area, who take much pride in our homegrown 4th of July parade. If I have to choose, I will choose our 4th of July parade because I think our Gay Chamber of Commerce has made a thoughtless decision to put these two events in competition and conflict since Northside has supported Pride for so long. Please think about this during next year's plans.

How unfortunate that I had to go to Indianapolis to discover that Cincinnati was actually going to have a Pride celebration this year. There are several newspapers/fliers carried at Cincy bars but I saw no mention in any of them about this. July 4th!?! are you folks insane. There is already so much happening that day... family gatherings, local parades and fire works. Another observation... starting a Pride pub crawl at a straight bar!?! I read in the newspaper in Indy that Cincy's move from North Side to Fountain Square was prompted by need for space. I find it hard to believe that Fountain Square has more space than the park in North Side. We had the park in North Side exclusively for Pride for 2 days, we get Fountain Square for a few hours one day and share it with everyone else in the city. 7/4 is almost here and still not much info available about this event, no map of parade route, no map of festival location/layout and no listing of vendors. Sad, so sad. I been at Cincy Pride every year since North Side revived it, but I will not be there this year since I always spend 7/4 with family and the parking there is free & plentiful, just like in North Side and unlike downtown. Guess if I want to experience Pride, I'll have to go to Columbus, Indy, Dayton, Fort Wayne, Louisville... anywhere but Cincy.

Very sad about the decision to move pride parade to July 4th and out of Northside. I will miss it because of travels to see family every year at this time. Looks like Chicago Pride for me on Sunday, June 27th.. Who is responsible for this decision, I have heard only negative comments from everyone I know???

I am a local college student and wanted to start a GLBT student organization. However, the school is reluctant to approve the group; their reason is that it isn't geared toward occupation or a degree program. In order to "play by their rules", I was wondering if we could start some sort of Junior Chamber for our GLBT students. We are majoring in Business, Hospitality Arts, Medical Massage, Photography, Interior Design, Graphic Design, and Medical Coding & Billing. I would love to hear any ideas you may have. Thank You.
